Church youth group

So I just got back from youth group and it was pretty fun. We went on the slip and slide and also played with sponges. After that we talked about how we should use our words to build people up instead of tearing them down. Why do people use words to tear other people down? Maybe it makes them feel better? I dont know? It was fun and uplifting going to youth group.
